Full-time

The Cash Receipting Manager is responsible for the Finance and Accounting activities of the cash receipting department.

The Cash Receipting Manager is responsible for managing the activities and personnel for a specific Finance or Accounting area or department.  Generally responsible for the management, maintenance and reporting of financial data and/or the monitoring of management controls and processes to ensure compliance with TNC policies and procedures, relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, and financial/management best practice.

Areas of Responsibility:

The Cash Receipting Manager is responsible for the organization’s processes to receive, deposit, and record cash (and equivalent) – ensuring compliance with TNC policies and procedures, legal and accounting standards, and financial best practice.  The Manager oversees a team of specialists who process large volumes of receipts daily at The Nature Conservancy’s Worldwide Office in Arlington, Virginia and works actively and collaboratively with counterparts across the organization to help ensure the timely processing and accurate recording of cash received at other TNC locations -- providing training, expert advice, and logistical support.  The Manager implements procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of all departmental work, and is expected to bring a continuous improvement mindset to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

The Cash Receipting Manager is expected to attain and maintain a high level of proficiency in the Conservancy’s financial and fundraising systems—both integral to the cash receipting process—and is expected to provide strong leadership in the application of technology to meet business needs.  Because the manager oversees an operation which handles large sums of money, the position requires a person of the highest integrity and a dedicated focus to sound internal control.
