A combination of routine and complex administrative, budgetary and research-oriented tasks.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Duties include a combination of routine and complex administrative, budgetary and research-oriented tasks, often related to the collection of data and the preparation of reports

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assists branch staff and serves as the point person at the branch for software and business questions. Assists in on-boarding of new staff training in the areas of membership and childcare. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
  • Create and Maintains SOP’s for all branch staff to follow with regards to Membership, Childcare, Finance, Programs, Fundraising, and Other processes.
  • Runs branch accounts receivable aging and deferred revenue aging for Membership, Childcare and Programs each month and distributes to Finance, Branch Executives and applicable Directors. Follows up with Staff Accountant and Branch staff with any balances that appear to be incorrect to ensure financial integrity.
  • Ensures that shift close-outs and deposits are done in a timely manner. This includes all software packages. Currently using Daxko, Tuition Express and Pro-Care.
  • Posts Daxko Operations to Daxko Accounting at least twice a week.
  • Coordinates and supports the CDO with assigned aspects of the fundraising campaigns at the branch, such as setting up designations and ensuring accurate entry of pledges.
  • Responsible for Daxko Integrity and monitoring of ‘best practices’ for programming, fees, membership activity, etc.
  • Responsible for Membership and Retention statistic reporting monthly.
  • Update Daxko Membership pricing as needed (typically annually).
  • Report on Insurance based memberships to outside vendors for compensation.
  • Enter Childcare Agency Payments into Procare as well as reconcile and advise childcare staff of any necessary billing adjustments.
  • Participates in Affinity Group meetings and directs ‘best practices’ for Daxko Setup.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred or Associate’s degree in accounting or related field plus at least one-year accounting experience (or equivalent).
Skills/Experience: 
  • Knowledge of general ledger and accounting functions.
  • Knowledge of and expertise with computerized accounting systems.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using Excel and Word.
  • Solid analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Must give solid attention to accuracy and detail, be highly organized and have the ability to work with confidential matters.
  • Ability to meet firm deadlines and have flexibility with work demands.
  • Successful completion of standard background checks.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00
