Job Description: responsible for managing the daily operations of the Forks YMCA Education Center by providing a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment for children to learn, grow and thrive building a firm foundation for future success.

Must bring to this position a background suited to the requirements of a Y Professional, Department of Human Services and PA Keystone STARS.

Must have the ability to: work independently or under direct supervision; strong program management, communication, relationship building and problem solving skills; ability to respond to emergency and safety situations.

Must have a commitment to excellence and high standards in implementing quality programming to support our curriculum.

Days: Monday – Friday; Varied hours between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field and one to three years related experience, as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs.
OR Associate’s Degree in Education or related field, working towards BS in Education or related field and three years related experience, as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs
Skills/Experience: 
  • Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Clearance and FBI Clearance (paid for by the Y/must maintain employment for 6 months from hire date), Health Assessment and TB Test and two written references documenting experience with children.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $28,000.00 - $30,000.00
