Our Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Programs (CPR, First Aid and related training) educate healthcare providers, caregivers, and the general public on responding to cardiovascular emergencies, cardiac arrest and stroke. ECC is dedicated to increasing public awareness of the importance of early intervention and ensuring greater public access to defibrillation.

Working with volunteers, community champions, priority customers and collaborating with staff across the affiliate, the Senior Community CPR Manager is responsible for bringing CPR Anytime, Infant CPR Anytime and CPR in Schools training programs to organizations across the communities served. Key position objectives include the achievement of goals for number of people trained, number of CPR trainng kits placed (CPR Anytime, Infant CPR Anytime, CPR in Schools), restricted money secured and effective managament and engagment of volunteerss This position also includes development of school, hospital and community CPR training programs.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supervisory responsibilites of managing the Western States Affiliate Community CPR Team.
  • In collaboration with affiliate/ECC staff, volunteer partners and community champions, effectively manage and execute annual business plan that will maximize the implementation of CPR programs programs in assigned territory and affiliate-wide.
  • In collaboration with affiliate and division development staff, ECC work streams and priority customers, support the prospecting, securing, implementation and stewardship of priority restricted funding opportunities for CPR Anytime (adult and infant) and the CPR in Schools Kits.
  • Perform accurate and timely fulfillment of program administration duties; effective managament of tracking,reporting processes for training programs funded by individuals and foundations.
  • Communicates regularly within and among appropriate AHA Affiliates, ECC staff and Laerdal personnel
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance and monthly submission of progress reports to Affiliate, National ECC and Laerdal
Skills/Experience: 
  • Progressive field experience in sales, program development, project management and/or corporate development
  • Experience leading and managing a high performing, geographically distributed team
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate across audiences
  • Ability to develop relationships with healthcare and educational institutions
  • Strong program management skills and organizational skills for detailed project and account management
  • Ability to present key concepts in a succinct and timely manner
  • Ability to thrive in a detail-oriented, timeline driven environment
  • Ability to readily learn and retain product specific information
  • Knowledge of sudden cardiac systems of care a plus
