The position holder will contribute to the implementation of effective and accountable financial and asset control systems. With the assistance of the Finance and Support Service Manager, the position holder will implement planning, tracking and reporting mechanisms which contribute to effective and accountable programs.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Promote awareness of World Vision policies and procedures;
- With the assistance of the Finance and Support Services Manager, facilitate day-to-day finance transactions;
- Maintain and analyze various finance/assets tracking tools, providing updates to FSS Manager as required;
- Providing technical back-stopping to programs teams in the preparation of various finance documents;
- Support in the preparation and updating of various budget planning documents;
- Analyze existing practice and advice on improvements.
Educational Background:
A Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized Institution.
Skills/Experience:
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
- Experience: 2/3 years of experience in a related field;
- Experience with World Vision 1.5 to 3 years;
- Ability to articulate in written and spoken English at Basic level;
- Ability to present financial data in a clear and coherent manner;
Working Environment / Conditions:
- Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field
- Travel: 15% domestic/international travel required
