The Story and Content Producer is a role for a multimedia enthusiast, and is well-suited for someone with a wide range of storytelling skills matched with an adventurous spirit. A true storyteller at heart, this person is comfortable crafting and shaping experiences for sharing. Though grounded in content gathering and curation, producing short-form video, and photography skills, the candidate should have basic understanding of design principles, write narratives and scripts and be equally comfortable behind the lens as well as in front of the camera. From virtual reality to social media, animation and pod casts to ePublishing, this candidate enjoys the art of storytelling in any medium. This uniquely experienced story and content producer will be creative, proactive and accustomed to working individually or collaboratively to bring to life and share the stories of the children we help. Your finished work will elevate and strengthen our brand in the U.S. as well as globally—while also supporting the agency's ambitious fund-raising, media and advocacy goals.
The story and content producer will be a brand ambassador and should be able to understand and consistently apply our brand and child safety guidelines while creating highly compelling and impactful content in the field or at the office to delight our current and future supporters.
- Multi-Media Storytelling: Capture and curate dynamic photo and video assets that allow us to share stories of children, our staff and our supporters to support our mission. Script, pitch and produce finished story ideas that align with our content strategy, editorial calendar and agency moments in a timely fashion. Orchestrate asset sharing to the entire global organization through our Digital Asset Management tools. (60%)
- Creative Ideation & Project Oversight: Work in partnership with key agency stakeholders, Director of Content, Creative Director, brand marketing and digital web production teams to conceptualize, create and deliver on national and global assets and campaigns within established timelines. Support our content strategy ambitions to deliver the right content, to the right people at the right time. (20%)
- Integrated Content Producer: Remain current on emerging digital tools and mobile trends as they pertain to our work, processes and priorities in an effort to communicate them to the larger Integrated Marketing & Fundraising team. Write pitch, and execute on story ideas that align with our editorial calendar as well as other agency moments. (15%)

Required Qualifications
- You have a minimum 3-5 years' experience as a digital storyteller or related field, with experience in a fast-paced marketing or media production environment
- Strong computer skills, including high proficiency with the full set of Adobe Creative Suite of tools including – Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and functional knowledge of file compression and decompression, image formats and optimization techniques.
- Must have readily available online photography portfolio showing examples of most recent work in order to be considered for this position
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel (sometimes with little notice) to domestic and international locations to collect compelling content from the field. Approximately 25-35% of your time will involve travel.
- Thorough knowledge of videography, creative use of cameras, audio mixing, lighting and editing, an understanding of basic design principles, branding, ideation and script writing, typography and color theory
- Excellent written and oral communicator and be able to use words, images and video to tell a story or illustrate a concept
- Equally adept at working independently or collaboratively with a team as well as in the office or out in the field
- Detail-oriented, well organized and have a global vision compatible with the mission of Save the Children
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail with minimal oversight
