The Vice President of Brain Health Enterprise is responsible for establishing and creating new business strategy, inclusive of building structure, financial plan, and market for achievement of the business vision and goals. Responsible for collaborating with a strong and interdisciplinary team of Chief Executives, AHA Board leaders and volunteer Advisory Committee to set the vision, develop and secure opportunities for partnerships, key stakeholders, and investment sourcing.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Establishes the vision and creates an organizational plan for new business including legal structure, governance model, funding sources and staffing.
- Collaborates and consults with Chief Executives, AHA Board, and volunteer Advisory Committee on business impact, achievement of milestones, and strategic plans. Develops short-term and long-term strategies.
- Develops product road-map, communication and marketing plan for overall business concept and product development. Designs product structure, market strategy and development plan for introduction and launch of commercial business.
- Builds business financing model and budget and presents opportunities to investment partners. Negotiates partnership structure with input from Legal, Advisory Committee and other stakeholders.
- Leads implementation of operational plan including hiring, developing and motivating key leadership roles to execute and manage business, partnerships, and market penetration.
- Develops models for partnerships and key stakeholder involvement for structure, planning and financial investment. Researches, identifies and recruits partner(s).
Educational Background:
Master's Degree in Business, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related area
Skills/Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of experience in business development, start-up environment and strategic business modeling
- Ten (10) years of experience with or knowledge of strategies for building new commercial business; includes knowledge or experience with corporate or non-profit structures and legal requirements;organizational/operationaldesign; market identification, development and commercial strategy; product development, design and launch planning
- Eight (8) years of experience building and negotiating partnerships and alliances
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Eight (8) years of experience collaborating with executives, steering committees, volunteer advisors
- Five (5) years of experience demonstrating a strong executive presence for developing and presenting investment opportunities to Fortune 500 organizations
- Ability to travel 50% of time
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience in healthcare with an emphasis on the translation of evidence-based interventions to consumer products
