Program Coordinator, Global Cancer Treatment

The Program Coordinator works closely with the Global Cancer Treatment team and Society corporate center support staff to efficiently shepherd projects through organizational processes and provides general operations support to our small headquarters team based in downtown Washington, DC.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide leadership and direction for administrative operations
  • Develop processes to improve efficiency within the project
  • Liaise with colleagues in the legal, finance, communications, and human resources divisions of the Society to improve the quality and efficiency of projects.
  • Use skillful organization and creativity to get things done.
  • Work with program staff to produce funding proposals, project reports, and communications materials.
  • Participate in routine brainstorming and project planning sessions.
  • Use judgment to manage day-to-day operational issues and ensure the efficient functioning of team projects and activities.
  • Work with Director and other team members to implement business processes to meet key contractual and grant requirements, including pertinent grants, vendor, and consultant agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to grants.
  • Ensure compliance with organization-wide policies

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in the development of technical resources such as handbooks, guidelines, tracking tools, and training programs.
