Leads critical activities within the Cancer Control department with a focus on supporting the needs of the Society’s regions to advance mission priorities. Ensures engagement and mobilization of subject matter experts, regional staff and GHQ staff in a prioritized and coordinated way to meet Cancer Control objectives and to support effective dissemination of interventions. Facilitates the development of cancer control annual planning, assuring alignment with mission platforms and working with the Director, Mission Data Strategy to align with enterprise scorecard, staff performance objectives, and regional plans. In partnership with subject matter experts and functional areas, identifies and implements solutions to meet identified needs. Manages and/or participates in the execution of enterprise projects. Works collaboratively with regional Senior Directors to facilitate communications within the regional cancer control staff networks.
- Lead and manage activities that drive ongoing engagement of cross-region staff network groups providing opportunities to work collaboratively, facilitate best practices, and connect relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the process for annual performance management for Cancer Control for the regions including development of annual performance objectives per network, tools, training, corresponding reporting, tracking, and assessment.
- In partnership with GHQ departments and talent strategy, coordinate training needs for regional cancer control staff. Convenes expert consultants, thought leaders, and leadership volunteers as needed to provide critical technical assistance and expertise for identified training needs.
- Represent the Society in partnership meetings; sustain and build on existing relationships with external public health organizations.
- Serves on cross-functional teams to understand; incorporate; and execute the needs and goals of various verticals within the regional structure as part of mission planning and communication. Works collaboratively with region staff to facilitate the networks.
- Provide support to account teams and serve as a champion for the account management model, for national partnerships with public health organizations.
- In partnership with corporate communications, coordinate communication needs for regional cancer control staff.
- Serve as the region Cancer Control point of contact for questions, information, business needs & escalated issues; works with broad authority to drive escalated issues to resolution.
- Partner with global headquarters functions on ongoing process review and constructive improvements based on region Cancer Control needs & feedback; ensure regional Cancer Control perspective is understood and considered in decision-making, process and procedure development.
- Coordinate the identification and successful implementation of nationwide mission funding opportunities for regional cancer control.
- Leverage technology to facilitate the sharing of best practices and opportunities for collaboration.
- Support the region staff model on an ongoing basis to identify best practices, gaps and areas that require refinement both on an enterprise and region-specific level.
- Partner with GHQ and region staff to identify, scale, support, track and establish accountability for adoption of best practices; with focus on driving mission impact and relevance through customer-centric and innovative strategies.
- Maintain a productive and collaborative relationship with global headquarters departments and regions. Meet regularly with regional Cancer Control leadership and staff to assist with implementation of Cancer Control initiatives as needed and oversees coordination with both internal ACS expertise and technical assistance.

- Eight or more years of experience driving collaborative engagement within regions or global headquarters staff preferred.
- Strong knowledge of American Cancer Society program, strategies and organizational infrastructure required.
- Ability to effectively manage projects from beginning to end
- Non-profit or healthcare industry experience preferred.
