Responsible for coordinating projects related to the March of Dimes Perinatal Data Center and Center for Health Economics. The Project Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, meeting, logistics, and project management support to the staff in the Perinatal Data Center and all functional areas within the Center. The position reports to the Director of the Perinatal Data Center.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assist in managing projects and initiatives of the Perinatal Data Center and the Center for Health Economics, including a Request For Proposal process and administration of grants to externally funded projects. Develop work plan for the project that takes it from start to completion and implementation. Ensure work plan for project stays on schedule and remains within its budget. 
  • On large scale projects of great complexity, manage a component of the project as a member of the team leadership. 
  • Coordinate in-person meetings and conference call logistics and provide materials support. Organize and maintain the records of the projects, including files, budget, calendar, reimbursements. 
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support department staff.
Educational Background: 
Four year college degree or equivalent
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2-4 years experience
  • Progressively responsible and project management experience
  • Well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with grant management and project management strongly preferred
  • The individual in this position must be able to meet deadlines, keep projects on schedule and on budget, and communicate clearly when a given project is not meeting expectations of the timetable, budget, or quality. This person is expected to work independently and take a project from start to completion with limited supervision. When appropriate this person will serve as team leader in order to complete a project. This individual must be well organized. Ideally this individual would possess strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
