About Us
Mission:

The South Asian Helpline and Referral Agency (SAHARA) serves survivors of all forms of abuse in the South Asian community by providing them with culturally-sensitive and linguistically-specific services.

Programs:

SAHARA provides support to survivors of domestic violence and all forms of abuse with a Transitional Living Home, physical and mental health care, case management, legal assistance, citizenship/immigration assistance, public benefits assistance, support groups, life skills and language instruction, healthy relationships education, connections to community, and support for independence goals accomplishment.  Our primary clients include women experiencing domestic violence, elders suffering from isolation and other abuse, and young people who - with education and awareness - can break the cycle of abuse in their generation.

Why Work For Us?:

At SAHARA, we do the hard work for vulnerable populations and we pride ourselves on our professionalism and our empathy. We strive for the clear communication and respect for each other that will allow us to effectively serve our clients.  We value and support the professional aspirations of our employees and ask for the best they can give our clients here and now.
