Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full time Accountant position based in Colchester, VT. At PPNNE, the Accountant position contributes to a variety of accounting functions related to business operations, prepares monthly financial statements, and provides financial & data support to various management staff and groups. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Prepare & perform monthly input for the PPNNE & PPNNE Action Fund financial statements (budget, payroll, recurring cash receipts, quarterly inventory, revenue, statistics & general journals)
  • Monitor & reconcile various general ledgers, assist in year-end audit preparation, prepare monthly financial statements & post monthly journal entries.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business
Skills/Experience: 

Qualifications include 2-3 years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Knowledge of non-profit accounting and strong experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
