Spring Social Behavior Change and Community Capacity Strengthening Intern

 Summary:

The Social Behavior Change Communication(SBCC) Team is looking for a part-time intern who is detail oriented, organized, and interested in SBCC and Communicty Capacity Strengthening. The intern will work under the supervision of the Senior Specialist and will primarily focus on administrative support and knowledge management activities.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the Social and Behavior Change/Community Capacity Strengthening (SBCC/CCS) Knowledge Management needs. This might include:

  • Help to format and update key documents of the team
  • Update our SBCC/CCS Team site on the Department of Global Health website
  • Moderate our Workplace (Facebook at work) site for SBCC
  • Support the finalization of strategies and toolkits on SBC through formatting, editing or other work.
  • Finalize or edit case studies, manuals or thematic power points
  • Upload to Amazon and other externally accessible sites, How to Mobilize Communities for Health and Social Change and other key SC CSS documents

Requirement:

  • Demonstrated interest and skills in SBCC/CCS, language skills, updated computer skills
  • Strong language, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • To be classified as an intern: an individual must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program and able to receive some credit from his/her college or institution. This does not need to be academic credit. (Minimum requirement is a letter of support and documentation is required only after an internship is offered.)
  • An individual who is not enrolled as a student may apply for an internship, but will be classified as a skilled volunteer, not as an intern.

Dates: January 30, 2018 to April 27, 2018     Part-time:   20 hours/week
