Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties is looking for a distinctive leader with a unique set of skills to work as the Director of Family Services who will be responsible for the overall success of Habitat MontDelco’s four family service programs. The four programs include Neighborhood Revitalization, Critical Home Repairs, Home-buying and Financial Education programming.
This position must be filled by a compassionate person who is able to interact with diverse populations, become and remain organized while juggling competing priorities and who can who can see the big picture all while promoting our mission. The right candidate will have three to five years of experience of progressive program design with a focus on community development. They will also have managerial experience, ability to anticipate and measure impact, ability to focus on detail and demonstrate a mastery of diversity, cultural awareness and fair housing laws.
This is an opportunity to serve, learn and lead as an integral part of working toward our common mission to provide all people with a simple, decent place to live. This is a full-time flexible position, Monday through Friday with regular evening commitments as well as some weekends.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or related experience, community development, case management or social work background preferred.
- Minimum of three 3 years of experience in social service non-profit with a demonstrated track record of success in implementing, maintaining and growing programs. Experience with affordable housing, financial literacy, or community development a plus.
- Ability to supervise others.
- Ability to handle multiple, often conflicting responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to clearly and concisely document conversations, in writing, and keep current records of all applications in process.
- Superior communication skills: oral, written, proofreading, editing, and presentation.
- Superior interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to broadly diverse audiences.
- Superior organizational skills; ability to set priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Computer Skills Required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and evaluation software.
