PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Chief of Party (COP) is responsible for the overall management of the Integrated Youth Opportunity and is the lead liaison with USAID. S/he is directly responsible for implementation of the three objectives, effective and compliant reporting and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). The COP maintains relationships with USAID, implementing partners and the GDRC, provide overall program leadership, promote innovative strategies to include youth and marginalized groups, and be responsible for establishing and maintaining administrative and organizational structures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and oversee the overall execution of all World Vision (WV) project components within its geographic and technical areas.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- At least 10years of experience in the design and implementation of international development projects.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience implementing education or youth programming.
Work Environment/Travel:
- The COP will preferably based out of the Consortium Office in Bukavu with frequent travel to field sites (weekly) but an outstanding candidate might be accommodated out of Goma to allow them to live in Gisenyi, Rwanda.
