Huntingdon County Child & Adult Development Corporation (HCCADC) is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Executive Director, to enhance and lead our organization into the future.

HCCADC, a private non-profit established in 1975, is dedicated to promoting the emotional, social, and educational development of children, adults, and families, by providing quality programs and resources to foster self-esteem and self-sufficiency. HCCADC employs 110 staff, has five centers within the county and has classrooms/programs in all the counties 4 school districts. Programs include Head Start, Early Head Start and PA Pre-K Programs, First Choice Childcare Center, Adult Education/HSE and Family Literacy Programs and Employment and Retention Network Program.

Position Summary: The Executive Director will report to HCCADC Board of Directors and work closely with the management team and staff of HCCADC. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to providing direction, leadership and guidance for all programs and departments of the Corporation, program planning and development, administrative policies development, and contract compliance in all programs. Responsible for the overall management of the of the Head Start (HS) and Early Head Start (EHS) Programs ensuring compliance with HCCADC policies, Head Start performance standards and the Program Plan. Supervises the program area supervisors in the Head Start Programs and Corporation directors/managers of other departments/programs. The Executive Director will be responsible for representation of the Corporation in/to the community. The Executive Director has broad authority to lead and govern daily operations to achieve HCCADC’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. The Executive Director is responsible for administrative and operational functions, including state program guidelines and regulations, strategic plan development and implementation, board development and governance, fiscal management, programming, marketing and public relations, and personnel management.
Key Responsibilities: Overseeing all aspects of our organization, ensuring that we are operating efficiently and effectively to meet the goals and requirements of both State and Federal funders. In this role, s/he will be working closely with the Board of Directors, government officials and the public.
Successful prior experience managing a nonprofit is preferred. Prior experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management and administration is required.
Compensation and Benefits: This is an exempt, full-time position working with a starting salary in the range of $75,000 plus per year, depending on experience.
