Position: Executive Director
FT/PT: Full-Time, Salary, $50,000

Supervisor: Board of Directors
Board and Committee Administration: ensures board is kept fully informed on condition of organization and all important factors influencing it, promotes engagement in critical thinking, strategic planning, resource development, training, board and committee development and overall organizational wellness.
Finance and Resource Development: provides general oversight of budget and affiliate financial matters, assists with annual budget development, authorizes expenditures, works with the board and community support committee to develop annual fundraising plan that is responsive to organizational growth and operational goals, primary implementer of fundraising plan including identifying funding resources, creating strategies to approach donors, grant writing and administering fundraising records.
Community and Public Relations: serves as affiliate spokesperson to religious, business, civic and volunteer organizations and foundations or other charitable giving organizations, Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with community resources, Attends appropriate community networking events to promote Habitat needs.
Construction/Retail Support: provides general oversight to the ReStore and its management as well as the Construction Site and its supervisor to ensure goals are met and in-line with the organization as a whole, ensures adherence to construction plans, schedules, budgets, safety policies, energy efficiency standards and financial development models for home sizes and site locations.
Human Resources: oversees all personnel, stays current on policies and procedures, recruits, manages and motivates strong staff in mission of the affiliate.
Administration: administers all day-to-day operational, financial and business affairs of the affiliate and other duties as assigned by the board of directors.
Training/Education: Participates in staff meetings at the administrative office, Participates in semi-annual HFHI and HFHMT seminars/conferences if necessary, Regular research/advancement on My.Habitat including webinars/conf calls.

Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years responsible leadership, directing successful teams and accountable for meeting objectives.
- Solid application of interpersonal and communications skills, internally and externally, with groups and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability in training, managing, leading and developing Associates in a consistent, positive and safety conscious manner.
- Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations and email.
- A history of successfully adapting to rapidly changing conditions with unexpected shifts in priorities.
- Provide vision, energy and passion for Habitat’s mission, values and integrity in all aspects of job.
- Good understanding of philanthropy as it relates to the not-for-profit organization and a basic knowledge of resource development.
- Demonstrates experience and excellent enthusiastic interpersonal skills to establish, build, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, board/committee members, donors, family partners and volunteers.
- Enthusiasm and strong customer service orientation.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Performs as a team player and comfortable in an ecumenical environment.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Possess tact, diplomacy and flexibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Pass a background check.
- Able to work longer hours, evenings or weekends when necessary.
