Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is looking for a motivated and experienced Writer/Editor – Storytelling to help create and publish content for habitat.org and the organization's flagship print publication. The Writer/Editor will also perform production-related tasks as assigned and will help with Storytelling-related administrative duties.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Contributes written content for habitat.org and flagship publication as assigned by Manager of Storytelling to compellingly market and accurately depict the work of Habitat for Humanity throughout the world, focusing on reader engagement and taking into consideration Habitat messaging as well as specific content and design requirements of online and print platforms.
· Assists supervisor with coordination of print and online production processes to ensure that content is published on time and to high-quality standards. Assists with distribution and circulation matters for flagship publication. Oversees press checks for print editions of flagship publication.
· Maintains [email protected] inbox and serves as a secondary point of contact as requested by supervisor for HFHI colleagues at headquarters and in the area offices, gathering and surfacing story ideas and content for consideration.
· Assists with copyediting and proofreading of content as requested by supervisor.
· Helps to fulfill other content requests and Communications duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
· 3 years as a writer and/or editor at a magazine, online publication or agency
· Proficiency in grammar and AP style.
· Experience in an environment that requires fast and accurate editing.
· Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or a related field.
· Ability to work with subject matter experts on a wide variety of content for myriad audiences.
· A passion for the goal of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
