Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a dedicated team member to join the Global Volunteer Engagement and Support (GVES) department to serve as a Trip Logistics Specialist. Working closely with Area office staff and other HFHI department staff, the Trip Logistics Specialist will provide oversight in all aspects of coordinating the volunteer experience as well as focus on working to expand current volunteer programs that support specific countries around the world, including the Global Village program and other activities. This position will be located in our Administrative Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

** Serve as the primary contact with the Host country staff (HFHi National Offices) and team leaders to ensure successful execution of short term trips
** Serve as point of contact / consultant with the HFHI Area offices on trip planning and confirmation; be knowledgeable and provide support on the Area needs
** Manage customer relationships with Team Leaders, HFH affiliated organizations, Educational Institutions and Corporate Partners to ensure successful execution of US sending program trips including responding quickly and accurately to inquiries/request, immediately following-up with screening, matching, placement, training, monitoring of records and databases and follow-up with Team Leaders throughout an experience
** Work closely with the GVES team, the area office staff and other HFHI department/staff to oversee the detailed process of coordinating all aspects of the volunteer experience
** Responsible for overall trip confirmation process and creating trip event codes for all trips within assigned service area
** Maintain and update documents such as standard trip itineraries, budgets, and trip information for web flyers
** Work closely with the support team to ensure accurate and timely distribution of expense and donation funds to team leaders and/or host programs
** Work with other HFHI Departments to improve upon and develop volunteer opportunities for US-based volunteers to international host countries
** Represent Habitat for Humanity and the department at conferences, trainings, and site visit

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

**Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
** 1 to 2 years experience in event coordination, volunteer coordination or event management
** Previous experience with trip logistics and coordination
** Excellent written & oral communication skills
** Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
** Proficiency with Microsoft software particularly with Excel
** Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
** Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task
** Experience working with multi-cultural teams and international environments preferred
** Knowledge of Spanish preferred
