The Sustainer Experience & Retention team is looking for a skilled volunteer to support tactics and strategy, to engage, cultivate and retain approximately 160,000 recurring donors and serve as an active contributor to a highly motivated, fast-paced and creative team of marketing and communication professionals. Responsibilities include proofing and editing annual communications, conducting peer research and donor surveys, performing marketing campaign analysis and data management and providing support on various ad-hoc projects for the larger team.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- May NOT be a student or have graduated within 6 months of start date
- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills
- Computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

- Graphic design experience
Skills/Experience:
- Communications support: Help to proof and support production needs for annual mailings; Source content, draft social posts and provide proofing support on other donor communications for both recurring programs
- Donor feedback management: Build, deploy and analyze results for surveys and other feedback touchpoints to better understand how donor motivations and feedback drives cultivation strategies
- Peer research: Conduct research on peer strategies and maintain internal sample binders of competitor communications to identify best practices in the non-profit industry
- Marketing campaign analysis: Support ad-hoc analysis on marketing campaign performance to inform future strategies and build understanding on the importance of data in making smart marketing decisions
- Content management: Help to tag and upload story content (videos, photos, written) into content management system while learning the value of a shared content system within a non-profit organization
