Regional Director, Healthcare Quality and Systems Improvement

In this role, the Regional Director identifies, develops and manages relationships with hospitals, outpatient practices and other key stakeholders in using Get With The Guidelines to improve quality of care for heart disease and stroke patients. The director serves as a consultant, business developer, educator and account manager in securing new relationships with hospitals and outpatient practices and deepening the engagement with current relationships in maximizing Get With The Guidelines in their organizations. The director will also work with state health departments, EMS, quality improvement organizations, health plans and other agencies to ensure that our quality improvement initiatives are key priorities within their organizations.

This position is responsible for managing accounts throughout North Los Angeles County, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo and involves regular travel in the region.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field, Master's degree preferred.
Skills/Experience: 

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and build relationships within complex networks.
  • Strong results orientation and ability to prioritize efforts towards key results.
  • Strengths in collaboration and customer account management.
  • 2+ years clinical experience in a hospital/healthcare setting (QI, RN, EMT, Case Management); acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of heart disease and/or stroke.

Required Experience

Candidates must also be willing and able to travel at 75% of the time throughout the area with some overnight travel. Valid driver's license, proof of at least minimum state required automobile liability insurance and ability and willingness to travel as position demands.
