Provide management and technical support in the saving group component of the project in the respective province in accordance with relevant Grant strategies, policies and standards to achieve the overall project goal

Areas of Responsibility: 

Project management

  • Facilitate identification and formation of the Saving Groups
  • Facilitate Saving Groups Members engaging in value chain process.
  • Ensure project activities related to Saving habits are implemented in accordance with internal and external Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure inclusion of women and PWDs in the Saving Groups and enterprise forums and address their limitations.
  • Implementation of the relevant project activities within the stipulated time and ensure proper budget management.
  • Address gender & disability based issues related to Saving and Loan disbursement in the assigned communities.

Competency Development

  • Conduct need assessment to identify the capacity gaps of Saving Groups, Producers and enterprise forums
  • Develop plans and capacitate Saving Groups, Producers and enterprise forums
  • Develop the capacities of project Assistants based on the identified capacity gaps.
  • Preparation and Implementation of a yearly personal development plan – as per the agreement with the supervisor

Networking and partnership

  • Map and identify the relevant partners and link the beneficiaries for Micro fiiance purpose
  • Create linkages between cooperate sector & private partnership
  • Link the Saving Groups with enterprise forums and other relevant partners.
  • Initiate Partnership with GOSL, Other INGOs , UN Organizations and Other Private partners.

Learning and Knowledge Management

  • Capture learning through regular reflections and maintain evidence based documentation.
  • Conduct appropriate Saving & Loan disbursement related research.
  • Intentional and continuous monitoring of the project impact
  • Preparation and Implementation of a yearly personal development plan as per the agreement with the supervisor.
  • Regular reflections with the stakeholders to review the progress
  • Monitoring the impact and reporting to relevant management/donors.
  • Continues Reflection with AP team, Zonal coordinators & NO Specialist

Reporting

  • Prepare monthly progress reports, bi annual and annual narrative progress and other reports as required by the project Field Operation Manager.
  • Provide other relevant reports and information to the relevant government authorities and other stakeholders.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor of Degree in Social science/other
Skills/Experience: 
  • Project management skills related to grant project
  • At least 05 years of field experience for Community Saving habits, Networking and Travel to North & East province.
  • Strong Project management experience with Grant management .
  • Fluent in Tamil and English both Speaking and writing, Ability speak in Sinhala added advantage.
  • Working with Disable & Vulnerable Women Groups.
