The Washington Market School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its administrative team as Community Events and Development Coordinator. This person will be a key member of the school's leadership team, working closely with the Head of School, Administrator, Business and Enrollment Offices as well as educators and parents.
Development - Coordinating all aspects of the Annual Appeal including maintaining records of all fundraising.
Events Coordination - Organize, supervise, coordinate and implement all stages of WMS events and school-wide functions. This person will work closely with class parents, coordinate with volunteers for such events as the Book Fair, Bake Sale, Gala, Street Fair, Chinese New Year, Divali, and other terrific celebrations throughout the year.
Communications with the Community - School Newsletters sent out weekly to keep the community informed of dates and happenings; outreach to other organizations and schools; invitations for speakers and happenings.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of relevant school, events/fundraising, or non-profit experience.
Familiarity with programs including Google Docs, Wordpress, Mailchimp and Filemaker is a plus!
Annual salary range $50,000 - $52,500
