Habitat for Humanity International is currently seeking to add to our ReStore team with experienced customer service professional to serve as a ReStore Store Associate at our Gwinnett ReStore. The ReStore Store Associate is responsible for coordinating the donations received at the store, from entry into the store to pricing and stocking inventory onto the sales floor, and for providing an excellent customer service experience to both residential and corporate donors. This person serves as a front-line employee who regularly interacts directly with donors and represents Habitat for Humanity International in the community.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a unique retail outlet where you can purchase quality new and gently used items at excellent prices while helping Habitat for Humanity eliminate poverty housing in our community. Revenue generated by the ReStore provides the local Habitat for Humanity program & Habitat for Humanity International with much needed funds to assist in building homes and hope for families in our community and around the world. It also helps to keep thousands of tons of unwanted merchandise out of our landfills.
- Greet donors, assisting with unloading donations and receiving them into the store
- Provide tax-related documentation for donors
- Oversee and help develop efficient processing of donated items from the receiving area to the sales floor
- Assist in stocking the store with properly priced inventory and to keep the sales and storage areas organized in a clean, attractive manner
- Coordinate and direct volunteers and community service workers.
- Exhibit positive working attitude by demonstrating respect for fellow workers, donors and customers
- Assist customers with Incoming Donations or transporting purchases to their vehicle when needed
- Recommend new/better methods of completing assigned tasks as needed
- Perform such other tasks as requested by the Manager or Assistant Manager to facilitate a positive customer and volunteer experience at the ReStore
- Support and fill in for sales, cashiers, drivers, etc. when needs arise
- 3+ years customer service/sales experience
- Commitment to Habitat Program
- Detail-oriented
- Organized
- Strong customer service skills
- Flexible in dealing with an ever-changing donations schedule
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to learn new computer programs and systems for managing donations and sales as needed
- Valid Driver’s License
- Forklift experience or certification and truck driving experience preferred
