The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation seeks a highly motived Grant Writer (Senior Specialist) to join our team. Working under the Senior Director of Individual Giving, the Grant Writer’s primary focus is to support all activities related to the development and solicitation of foundations grants and the completion of progress reports that are generated by the Individual Giving department (family, philanthropic & corporate foundation grants). This individual works closely with the Individual Giving Officers to meet vital revenue goals of the department and the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all grant correspondence
- Research foundations for potential gifts per request of 5-7 Individual Giving Officers
- Write grant proposals & follow up reports
- Research funding opportunities
- Analyze trends, keep files up to date
- Track grants process and manage the grants dashboard
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in development, particularly in written communications, records management and database management
- Strong organizational and writing skills
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite including MS Excel and MS Access
- Diligent attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments
- Sensitivity to confidential health information
