The Nature Conservancy seeks an organized, data-driven, and creative Digital Fundraising Production Specialist to help implement strategies that acquire and convert new digital leads and donors.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Digital Fundraising Production Specialist is a member of TNC’s Digital Fundraising team within the Membership department. S/He is responsible for implementing marketing strategies that help TNC acquire digital leads and prospects, convert them to donors at the highest quantities and in the shortest amount of time possible, and realize a positive return on investment.

The Digital Fundraising Production Specialist is an enthusiastic learner who is excited to jump into multiple, fast-moving digital projects. The successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to utilize data and performance metrics to achieve results, is proactive and detail-oriented, and thinks quickly about how best to optimize current campaigns for highest impact. S/he will work closely with the Digital Fundraising team to maximize revenue across multiple channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE 

  • Assists the Digital Fundraising team in executing strategies to acquire digital leads and prospects and convert them to donors
  • Manages production and quality assurance of emails sent to new leads
  • Identifies, builds, and coordinates digital assets (such as landing pages, audience targeting files, creative and ad copy) needed to launch marketing campaigns aimed at recruiting new donors
  • Creates and implements source codes and other tracking parameters across digital fundraising tactics and channels to collect and measure actionable data
  • Partners closely with Digital Systems team and TNC’s digital vendors to understand and document pixel implementation and optimization processes, troubleshooting when necessary
  • Seeks opportunities to bolster TNC’s organic digital search presence by implementing SEO best practices within assets that the Digital Fundraising team creates and advises on
  • Helps facilitate and optimize the welcome/onboarding strategy for new leads, working closely with the Digital Acquisition Manager
  • Helps facilitate and optimize creative and audience targeting needs for new digital prospects, working closely with Digital Acquisition Manager and Digital Marketing Manager
  • Identifies, assembles and coordinates reporting requirements that will help monitor long-term performance of new leads and donors
  • Helps optimize TNC’s lead procurement process with vendors, ensuring that data hygiene is strong
  • Assists in contract negotiation and approval processes for new TNC digital fundraising vendors
  • Looks for opportunities to help TNC reach new audiences by more cost-efficient routes
  • Looks for opportunities to automate / increase the efficiency of production processes\
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience organizing and coordinating projects.
  • Experience proofreading and editing business documents.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of executing successful online fundraising and/or advocacy campaigns
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Nonprofit, electoral, and/or digital agency experience preferred
  • Ability to self-motivate, set objectives and help manage performance of vendors
  • Experience building and sending emails to mass markets; experience with email marketing platforms; knowledge of email deliverability best practices
  • Experience with HTML/CSS
  • Experience advising on and implementing search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Experience using source codes, pixels and web tracking infrastructure to collect and measure data
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Proficient in using Excel
  • Photoshop, JavaScript or other programming languages a plus
  • Social media experience a plus
  • Experience with Luminate Online and/or SAS Customer Intelligence 360 preferred
  • Experience working with CMS/CRM technology; BBCRM preferred
  • Experience with digital advertising through social (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), display, and paid search
  • Strong knowledge of current and evolving trends in relevant marketing disciplines
  • Project management experience a plus; experience with project management software such as JIRA
  • Experience working with tag management systems like Google Tag Manager or Tealium a plus
  • Experience working with business analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Interest / experience with environmental and conservation issues
