Areas of Responsibility: 
  1. Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the NWW Personnel Policies and Procedures and the NWW Policies to Promote Human Dignity.
  2. Ensure ISP plans are developed and implemented in accordance with NWW and DDS guidelines.
  3. Monitor and schedule medical/dental appointments for each person in the home.
  4. Participate in agency and Department of Developmental Services training programs and attend all Program Manager meetings.
  5. Monitor and ensure proper operation of house, grounds, furnishings and equipment, and physical plant.
  6. Take direction from the Program Director and participate in programmatic and personnel evaluations.
  7. Member of the NWW Emergency Management (EMT) and HCSIS teams.
  8. Maintain all program records according to established guidelines.
  9. Maintain financial accounts and budgetary guidelines in conjunction with the NWW Business Office.
  10. Schedule and approve staff coverage.
  11. Provide monthly documented supervision and guidance to all team members on a monthly basis.  
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two years of experience preferred; familiarity with DDS service delivery system
  •  MAP certification
  • Massachusetts Driver's License
  • First Aid and CPR certified
Compensation/Benefits: 
  • Based on experience and educational background
Additional Information: 

***Work schedule is flexible, but will include at least the two following components: 1- One evening shift (M-F) until 7- 9 pm per week. 2- One weekend shift of at least 2 hours per month for medication administration observation and weekend staff supervision. Note: All Staff may be re-assigned work locations based on the needs of the people we support.

Programs: 

Since it was established in 1972, NWW has worked to develop affordable housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. NWW individuals currently live in six group homes managed by NWW and in affordable apartment units. All NWW homes are in attractive neighborhoods with easy access to stores, libraries, banks and other community services.

Nancy Slamin, NWW's Executive Director, is a former recipient of the Robert Swett Excellence in Housing Award, given by the City of Newton for her efforts to develop affordable housing.
