The Construction Project Manager will plan & supervise construction of multiple projects including single and multi-family units.
Areas of Responsibility: 
- Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects
 - Manage the construction schedule, coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, staff and volunteers to meet specific construction goals
 - Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed
 - Is responsible for obtaining and document control of necessary permits, license, and inspections
 - Maintain project files for each assignment; document all relevant changes, schedules and activities
 - Tracks and controls construction schedule to achieve completion of projects within time allocated
 - Reports to stakeholders about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated
 - Responsible for breaking down weekly construction goals into manageable tasks that can be easily assigned to individuals and groups by Site Manager
 - Assisting in building, repairs and maintenance on job sites
 - Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken
 - Perform final walkthrough with Homeowner and manage completion of all punchlists
 - Assist with preparation and delivery of material
 - Ensure Quality Workmanship and Adherence to the construction schedule
 
Skills/Experience: 
- Proven record in construction project management
 - Volunteer experience with Habitat for Humanity or other construction/rehabilitation non-profit organization preferred
 - Able to work with a diverse spectrum of people from a variety of faith, civic, business, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds
 - Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, including the ability to anticipate tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and function smoothly under strict deadlines and shifting priorities
 - Ability to multi-task, balance multiple priorities, and work in deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
 - Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) in a professional manner with vendors, staff, board members, families, volunteers, and anyone associated with Austin Habitat for Humanity
 - A strong working knowledge of construction practices and procedures
 - Strong personnel management skills – relating to team members, volunteers, vendors and sub-contractors, committee members, board members, etc.
 - Computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations and email
 - Strong working knowledge of construction safety and security procedures
 - Ability to set expectations and monitor delegated activities
 - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
 - Ability to drive large trucks and construction equipment including Skid-Steer and Mini-Backhoe.
 - Ability to work Tuesday- Saturday, 10+ hours daily
