The objective of this project is to increase use of and access to digital financial services, mobile and internet, and increase the use of data for strategic planning and adaptive programming with USAID missions, bureaus, and independent offices. This project will work with organizations to conduct diagnostic services, program design & implementation, research projects, and develop tools and approaches that will help reach the objective.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensure that all planned activities are being successfully implemented
  • Manage sub-awardees in coordination with USAID
  • Prepare, review and oversee sound financial management systems 
  • Prepare, review and oversee project reports on a timely manner
  • Enforce the established internal control mechanisms that adhere to FHI 360 and USAID compliance system
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders on project matters
  • Supervise technical and administrative staff. 
  • Plan, direct and coordinate technical and operational activities to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished with prescribed timeframes and funding parameters and in compliance with USAID regulations and FHI 360 policies
  • Collaborate with relevant technical specialists and stakeholders beyond the project staff to ensure coordination of materials and communication message strategies and avoid gaps and overlaps 
  • Oversee monitoring and evaluation of project indicators and knowledge management activities
  • Oversee project human resources 
  • Serve as key representative of project with USAID and other partners
Educational Background: 
Master’s Degree in International Development, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Data Analytics, or Related Field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous experience with significant management responsibility
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing a sub-award/sub-contract program that serves clients in the developing world
  • At least 5 years of experience in mid-to senior level position at a non-governmental organizations implementing/managing programs in the developing context
  • Experience managing projects in compliance with USAID rules and regulations
  • Outstanding professional reputation and strong demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, technical and operational staff, and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and recipients of assistance 
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Technical knowledge and expertise about ICT4D strongly preferred
  • Experience collaborating with NGOs, government ministries and officials, donors, and community-based institutions 
  • Strong analytical skills rooted in familiarity with management of international development programs 
  • Professional Written and Spoken English
