We are seeking a skilled, experienced SQL Server database administrator to join our growing organization. In this position, the successful candidate will be largely responsible for providing operational database services to the Habitat for Humanity International, Enterprise Shared Services organization.
The primary responsibilities of this role would include owning, tracking and resolving SQL Server enterprise data warehouse database related incidents and requests, resolving incidents within SLAs, reviewing service related reports (e.g: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service and performance related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs.
In addition, this position will assist Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) team and Enterprise Shared Services technical staff in support of the CRM application and Financial Reporting functionality with respect to HFHI business performance measurements and accountability.
- Manage users / administer security of Enterprise Shared Services SQL Server databases.
- Create and maintain databases and database objects.
- Monitor and tune SQL Server performance and capacity.
- Provide 24x7 support to resolve database-related problems.
- Setup backups and perform recoveries to insure availability of HFHI's SQL Server databases and associated data.
- Provide input regarding best practices, procedures, and implement improvements to HFHI's SQL database infrastructure.
- Manage HFHI’s implementation, upgrade, and use of SQL Server.
- Troubleshoot problems related to SQL Server, and apply maintenance and/or upgrades as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5-10 Years IT related experience
- 3-5 Years Enterprise Data Warehousing / ERP experience
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in coding SQL (Oracle and SQL Server preferred).
- Thorough understanding of SQL Server database technology, and performance tuning, including administration and design.
- Intermediate skills in implementing software in a Windows 2008 to 2016 server environment.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization
