The purpose of the position is to conduct the data entry, MOVs validation, filing of documents and archiving for the WASH program activities in the Bekaa Region.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Handle Data Entry (10%)

  • Complete data entry of all hard copy assessments into an excel sheet in a clear and organized way.
  • Complete data entry of beneficiary information to the master beneficiary database
  • Complete data entry of any other documents if needed
  • Extract and crosscheck the uploaded data with the existing database
  • Support teams in the processing of information and data gathered

Ensure MOV validation and filing (60%)

  • Check the MOVs (means of verification) of the services provided by the WASH portfolio and make sure the fingerprints and data on the MOVs are correct.
  • Validate the MOVs after checking the data and the fingerprints by signing all the MOVs along with the WASH Assistant and the Community Mobilizer.
  • Compare the MOVs with the act of acceptances and make sure the numbers and the payments match.
  • Cross check the final acts with the acts of the rounds and validate the final act.
  • Make sure the MOVs are updated on a regular basis and assist the Data Information Management Officer in editing the MOVs.
  • Scan all MOV’s after being validated.
  • File all the MOVs hard copies in an organized way by supplier and area.
  • File all the documents related to WASH portfolio in a clear and organized way and make sure the filed data is secured and confidential

Support Data Information Officer (25%)

  • Assist the data information management officer in reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Assist the Data Information Management Officer in the preparation and revision of data and ELA reports related to field activities (weekly/monthly/quarterly) donor reports and other ad hoc reports.
  • Assist Data Information Management Officer to guarantee the data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Assist Data Information Management Officer on data safety through a proper data backup system.
  • Conduct Spot-check field visit when needed.

Perform other duties as required (5%)

  • Attend trainings locally and internationally.
  • Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.
  • Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.
  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and/or security manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager
Educational Background: 
BA in Computer Science
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Technical experience in Database management
  • Proven working experience as a data clerk
  • Experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Good knowledge of the intervention area and related problems.
  • Proficiency in MS office (word, excel.)
  • Excellent Organizational, analytical and oral and written communications skills in English
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Previous experience with NGOs in emergency and/or development projects
  • A valid driver license – more than a year
