Five-year USAID-funded education project in Yemen that will increase equitable and safe access to quality certified education for Yemeni children and youth. The main goal will be to support and build capacity of Ministry of Education to manage the implementation of new education system.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Collaborate with appropriate technical colleagues to effectively design and gather data collection that will support project activities
- Develop, design, and document techniques, procedures and guidelines related to this component to systematize and internalize activities and deliverables
- Provide technical leadership in a specific technical component and/or program wide activity
- With technical oversight, provides technical leadership in design, development, planning, implementation, and capacity building of specific technical components of programs.
- Participates in resources development activities
- Support projects and colleagues in data analytics, data visualization and reporting
- Develop data collection instruments for paper-based and/or mobile data collection, ensuring that questions link back to indicators
- Develop training materials and provide training to enumerators in the field, and monitor data collection progress
- Conduct data analysis
- Develop dashboard visualizations using data collected
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning, communicating regularly on results and activities in assigned projects and fostering evidence building on common issues across the project
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree, or Master’s degree preferred or its International Equivalent in: International Development, International Affairs, International Education, Education Research, and/or Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Information Technology
Skills/Experience:
- About 3 -5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, including at least 2 years working on international education or youth projects
- Experience programming data collection instruments and executing RARE
- Experience designing and implementing M&E plans in education/international development projects, including primary data collection
- Quantitative research skills and proficiency in Stata
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
