Corporate Encounter & Initiation Director

Responsible for implementing enhancements and solidifying donor or corporate sponsor experiences at AHA fundraising events such as Heart Walk, Go Red for Women, etc. Responsible for reviewing and recommending development concepts for pilots including key modeling strategy to encourage revenue growth from new corporate audiences or demographically identified donor groups. Responsible for championing and integrating sustainable fundraising models for replication throughout appropriate target markets. Responsible for initiating compelling encounters with donors to expand revenue pipeline. Responsible for testing new ideas and sharing results with leadership, including developing multiple iterations for a successful launch.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Research, analyze and capture key donor groups and audience requirements to identify fundraising experiences that will engage and excite new and returning sponsors and corporate participants.
  • Develop communication strategies, visual branding and individualized experiences to drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze specialty events to provide donors the opportunity to express their desired giving method and personalized reward for involvement.
  • Collaborate closely with field and affiliate leaders to identify best practices in sponsorship rewards and donor recognition trends.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related area, preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • 8-12 years of experience related to this position
  • 8 years experience in customized sales or fund-raising events and evolution of sponsor activities
  • 5 years experience developing innovative and compelling donor events with the successful expansion of revenue streams
  • 3 years experience developing sales or fund-raising strategies and models for replication
  • Comprehensive understanding of approaches to corporate involvement with non-profit missions and partnerships for the advancement
  • Excellent oral communication, exceptional writing and persuasive presentation skills
