We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Platforms & Human Centered Design team. The mission of our team is to unleash the power of digital platforms to better support the core work of the foundation, accelerate achieving our goals and amplify the impact the foundation can have on the world. This specific role will focus on building and supporting solutions that enable our portfolio management, annual planning and President/Co-chair level strategy review business processes.

A successful candidate will have experience envisioning, designing, deploying and supporting information systems and services. An entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building great customer centric digital experiences is a must. Foundation portfolio management is an evolving business process and the nature of the work requires someone who is comfortable leading through uncertainty and working across a complex set of stakeholders to understand and prioritize requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage their technical experience and business acumen to maintain a trusted relationship with users and business partners while providing the clarity needed by technical teams to deliver great solutions aligned with the most important foundation priorities.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Customer Focused - Deeply understand the customer’s business capabilities, needs, user feedback and be able to synthesize all of that into a prioritized set of business requirements.
  • Trusted Expert - Develop deep domain knowledge of the platforms, processes and data that power the portfolio management business processes.
  • Tech Savvy - Develop technical proficiency with the platforms supporting portfolio management including but not limited to Salesforce and Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Connector - Coordinate work across multiple technology service teams to ensure delivery of requirements in a way that fosters collective success.
  • Driver - Work within an agile process across multiple teams to ensure reliable execution against plan.
  • Leader - Influence team members, build trust, motivate team members and build strong relationships across the team and foundation to help drive the work forward. This role may manage contingent staff.
  • Operator - Monitor and report on product/service heath and ongoing needs to team members, stakeholders and IT leadership
Skills/Experience: 
  • 8 years of business analysis, business systems analysis, program management or equivalent and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated successful track record of leading or managing multiple complex projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions or services designed around user needs
  • Success working with users, business partners and IT to define requirements, scope and roadmaps
  • Ability to influence peers and managers and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to function as a bridge across disciplines, such as user design, product owners, business owners and technology teams
  • Familiarity with agile processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Microsoft PowerBI highly desirable, ability to develop the expertise required
  • Ability to articulate value achieved through technology deliverable to non-technical audiences at all levels.
