Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking an energetic and service minded individual to join our team as a Driver at our ReStore located in Doraville, Georgia. The ReStore Driver will continually refresh the ReStore’s inventory by picking up donated merchandise throughout Metro Atlanta and will be an ambassador for Habitat and the ReStore by supporting our efforts to maintain a good relationship with all donors.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Drive the truck to pick up donated products
  • Help to load items at the donor’s location in a safe and courteous fashion
  • Assist in unloading truck at ReStore, following back dock guidelines
  • Help clean and move priced items to the showroom floor, as needed
  • Assist in other areas within the ReStore, as requested
  • Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean & perform minor repairs, as needed
Educational Background: 
High School Diploma or GED
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-2 years' experience in retail and/or service and/or driving/moving
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record for pre-employment and on-going employment
  • Ability to meet all state mandated requirements in order to successfully obtain & maintain a Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card, including passing a physical exam by a DOT certified physician, for pre-employment and for on-going employment
  • Clear Motor Vehicle Record for pre-employment and on-going employment
  • Familiarity with towns, communities and areas in and around Doraville
  • Ability to consistently lift and move 50-75 pounds
  • Reasonable familiarity with building materials
  • Excellent communication skills & the ability to relate well to a diverse group of individuals
