Sr. Manager Network Engineering

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Manager Network Engineering in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas .

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Oversees management of AHA network infrastructure design and implementation. Collaborates to incorporate network requirements from other infrastructure, business application operations and project teams.
  • Designs traditional, cloud, and hybrid networks to enable current and future AHA business and application needs.
  • Consults with BT leadership and project teams on network concerns for new or innovative solutions.   
  • Works collaboratively and supports compliance efforts and activities to insure all technical requirements for network security, controls and monitoring are satisfied. Participates in solution architectural design and security.
  • Manages assigned special projects and administration taks.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, related certification or field of study.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience:
  • With networks supporting telephony and modern messaging/conferencing technologies.
  • Building and leading teams who tackle complex problems and perform broad technology implementations.
  • Experience configuring cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure) virtual networks.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in network topologies, design, and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT (BT) service delivery practices and standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and related network security technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with technology trends and assess business value.
  • Must have the ability to travel overnight approx. 5% of the time.
