FHI 360 is seeking candidates for the position of Deputy Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID-funded “Support TB Control Efforts in Ukraine Activity”. The overall goal of the five-year activity (“the Activity”) is to reduce the TB epidemic in Ukraine through early detection, appropriate care, and prevention for people living with TB, drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), and TB/HIV.
The DCOP will be responsible for being the technical team lead for the Activity and will provide TB technical leadership, strategic vision and technical guidance for the implementation team. S/he will oversee staff to ensure the quality of activities and products developed under the project. In collaboration with the COP, s/he will oversee all technical and programmatic aspects of the activity to ensure all objectives are met and all activities are responsive to the host country needs. In absence of COP, the DCOP shall have regular communication with the AOR and other USG officials.
The DCOP will be based in Kiev. Hiring is contingent upon successful award of the Activity to FHI 360 and also upon approval by USAID.
- Experience leading technical activities related to TB case detection, TB and DR-TB treatment, TB/HIV activities
- Strong organizational and management skills including demonstrated effective personnel management, coordination, interpersonal and decision-making skills
- Full professional proficiency in Ukrainian and/or Russian
Desired qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience working with the USG
- Up to eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in implementing programs improving TB, DR- TB, TB/HIV, and other health services at facilities.
- Demonstrated progressive, focused experience in the management, design, execution, and monitoring of tuberculosis activities and projects
- Professional English written and oral communication skills
