About Us
Mission:

Pomegranate Center’s mission is to bring people together to build stronger communities. Based in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square, we serve places small and large, rural and metropolitan, throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our unique style of collaborative work combines artistic vision with broad and inclusive civic participation, hands-on learning and leadership development, and the transformation of underused areas into thriving spaces.

Programs:

Through training, designing, and building alongside leaders and community members, we make neighborhoods more livable, sustainable, just, and socially engaged. Our work is based on the core values of strong communities of place, collective creativity, and multiple victories where the best ideas solve more than one problem at the same time.

Why Work For Us?:

Through training, community engagement, and creative placemaking, Pomegranate Center works alongside communities to cultivate a culture of collaboration. Tested over 30 years, hundreds of community meetings, and dozens of built projects, our community engagement methodology allows communities to leverage the planning, design, and construction of public spaces to transcend a polarized culture and turn our differences into strengths.

After successfully transitioning Executive Directors in 2017, Pomegranate Center is moving into its next era of work—an era of growth, increased impact, and contributions to the national conversation about how we come together to take on our problems collaboratively. It is an exciting time to join us as we craft a new roadmap, launch new initiatives, and test new ideas.
