Provide design solutions that meet the strategic goals for various departments within the March of Dimes.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Reporting to the Associate Design Director, senior designer will produce good, solid design solutions to meet strategic goals, while consistently maintaining brand identity throughout all materials both print and digital.
  • Work closely with digital, social and email teams to provide on brand design assets.
  • Juggle multiple projects and aspects of projects simultaneously to assist in department workflow. Need to keep projects on time, on budget, and as approved by communicating with manager/supervisor, producers, developers and other designers.
  • Use of best practices to prepares final files that clearly convey information related to design and architecture in order for proper production to occur with both print and digital files. This includes having clearly marked files, color accuracy and proper file formats.
  • Senior designer will assume responsibility for final sign-off/approval on projects before they go to the vendor.
  • Archive projects according to established archival process, in a timely manner, for future resources.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, software and online technology literature/blogs in an effort to maintain consistency with our industry and to incorporate best practices.
Educational Background: 
Four year college degree or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5-7 years experience
  • Superior design skills including design conceptualization
  • Highly proficient computer skills, especially use of Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Experience creating infographics
  • Experience in creating animation graphics
  • Experience creating designs for social media platforms
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
