Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) seeks a dynamic and effective Manager, Business Partnerships.The Team goals that this role will focus on are to harness support from corporations to scale access to Planned Parenthood's programs and services and to invest in key partnerships that support Planned Parenthood’s role as an advocate and expand our reach with core audiences. The Manager will develop partnerships with corporations to further our organization-wide goals of increasing health equity, protecting access to care, and shifting the culture around reproductive and sexual health. The incumbent will source, catalogue, and sustain partnerships that drive growth for PPFA and its affiliates, and raise PPFA’s profile within targeted corporate audiences. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Build the necessary infrastructure to launch and manage successful partnerships across teams, including leading implementation of constituent relationship management tracking, developing core channels of communication, and standard operating procedures for partnership agreements.
  • Manage PPFA’s corporate employee advocacy engagement and state fights program in coordination with the Organizing and Campaigns team, building our strategy and networks to make this work successful, outreach to employee resource groups, developing activations, leveraging corporate voices in campaigns, etc.
  • Create detailed work plans to identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully support the project’s intended outcomes.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Develop a schedule to meet project goals that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Represent PPFA at meetings and events with potential and existing corporate partners.
  • Manage consultants to work on the project as appropriate.
  • Promote PPFA’s work and role in the corporate sector; build strong, relevant, and powerful networks.
  • Maintain an affiliate engagement strategy through interactive communication.
  • Communicate progress to goals and successes across the federation, including to executive leadership.
  • Work in cross-divisional partnerships with colleagues throughout PPFA. 
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree.
Skills/Experience: 

REQUIREMENTS / TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • 3-5 years of work experience or equivalent. 

PERSONAL QUALITIES /OTHER ATTRIBUTES

  • Program development, including project management.
  • Interest and experience in corporate engagement, and fostering successful strategic partnerships.
  • Experience with cause marketing programs considered a plus.
  • Direct experience working for, or with corporate social responsibility teams or employee resource groups.
  • Experience working in a complex federation style or matrixed organization.
  • Experience developing advocacy engagement strategies that strengthen relationships and value to the partner.
  • Experience that establishes an intuitive understanding of how corporations work, and an ability to quickly read and understand different corporate cultures.
  • Ability to synthesize information across multiple environments and data points.
  • Strong ability to take initiative and self-start when necessary.
