The Director of Revenue Performance & Operations will be responsible for developing strategic solutions around Enterprise revenue performance tracking and forecasting, as well as identifying and communicating trends and solutions related to revenue performance. Specifically, the anticipated work will be to develop and communicate revenue planning tools used to provide direction to business leaders, especially on areas in need of attention. He/she will interact with internal partners on a regular basis to create framework around business needs and available data, and then work to identify gaps and develop solutions to those issues.
Additional critical responsibilities will be related to Board of Directors communication and planning routines from the Office of Chief Development and Marketing (OCDMO), which include developing communication content and ensuring critical timelines are met.
The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting across a variety of business areas(marketing, operations, etc.), multiple industries, and will have a deep knowledge base of how analytical methods can impact a business. They will gain internal alignment by working collaboratively with partners to understand business needs, identify task options, and outline proper actions and levels needed to achieve results.
Planning and Performance Reporting
- Lead strategic revenue planning initiatives to continue to refine process and tools for multi-year planning outputs aligned to development and mission objectives.
- Develop effective communication platforms across Development/Marketing that build collaboration opportunities by sharing planned and ongoing work across the team in dynamic and impactful ways.
- Refine existing revenue performance dashboards and other performance metrics with goal to effectively track/achieve progress against the Enterprise’s strategic plan and integrate into overall multi-year planning process across all revenue streams.
- Collaborate with our Finance, Region Operations, and Enterprise Planning teams to share information critical to build/refine effective routines that ensure information-sharing and alignment in the upstream and downstream of the Development performance metrics annual and multi-year planning process and performance reporting.
- Develop an in-depth understanding and business-case view of our competitive landscape that brings fresh concepts to our Development leadership and teams to better deliver against the ACS strategic plan
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for analytics consulting within our team. Help to create alignment between the various groups to ensure meeting overall business objectives.
Support and coordination with/from the Office of Chief Development & Marketing
- Responsible for effective internal communication on behalf of the OCDMO, including delivering content against prescribed timelines for quarterly Revenue/Marketing Board Committee meetings and the ACS Board of Directors meetings.
- Supports the Chief Development & Marketing Officer by translating visionary ideas into functional plans aimed at achieving or exceeding all revenue targets and then coordinating the execution of the plan across teams.
- Coordinates overall development planning effort. Maintains an eye for alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity amongst myriad competing priorities.
- Works in collaboration and in dialogue with the CDMO and the development team leaders to collect, organize and synthesize progress to plans. Develops and tracks yearly KPI’s, metrics and dashboards.
- Supports the CDMO in building a cohesive and highly functioning marketing & development office leadership team; takes the initiative to promote healthy working relationships and create nimble operations across the team.
- Communicate CDMO's priorities, decisions, and position on important matters to both external as well as internal stakeholders verbally and in writing.
Leadership
- Corporate and Strategic Alliances Approvals Committee leadership. Lead approvals process for Corporate and Strategic Alliances relationships, specifically by chairing the Alliance Review Team (ART) Committee which is the approval body for all third-party commercial relationships for ACS. This responsibility encompasses chairing and staffing the ART Committee (Director/Sr Director working approvals panel membership) and the ART Leadership Panel (Sr VP and C-Suite panel membership).
- Provide leadership and set strategic direction for the Development-wide organization
- Drive team practices to ensure levels of financial and account planning rigor to ensure consistent performance through meaningful metrics and account performance tracking
- Minimum 10 years of work experience with excellent track record of achievement, advancement and top performance
- MBA preferred, disciplines include Business Administration, Strategy, Marketing or Management with strong quantitative focus; Formal training Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance or Mathematics is a plus, familiarity is necessary.
- Previous business development experience in a strategic planning and analysis role.
