The Site Coordinator works directly with children and must maintain the highest degree of safety and protection for them. He/she will need to work with Save the Children staff as well as with non-Save the Children staff of the school to ensure cooperation and collaboration, maintain an amiable relationship, effectively implement the Afterschool Model Literacy and Healthy Choices programs and provide the children participating in the program effective guidance, control and learning. The Site Coordinator will serve as the primary source of indirect supervision and support for Tutors and Substitute Tutors. In addition, the Site Coordinator is the chief "representative" of Save the Children at the school site of program implementation, and is expected to maintain high professional standards and excellent conduct of self and program. The Site Coordinator will identify and work to resolve site staff conflicts and child discipline issues.

Experience
- Previous experience working with and supervising elementary aged children desired. Previous experience supervising and supporting staff is desirable.
