The Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for the administration of nutrition activities funded through the federal SNAP-Education program in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and Colleton Counties. The Coordinator will develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and assist with training and monitoring of new partner agencies. S/he will capture pre and post-tests as well as assist in the collection of the Education and Administration Reporting System (EARS) data; and provide technical assistance and site monitoring to ensure effectiveness of SNAP-Ed programs.
- The coordinator conducts agency training regarding evaluation methods, protocol and procedures and delivers nutrition education programs to SNAP eligible participants as-needed.
- This is a telecommuting position to be performed from home from anywhere in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, or Colleton county. LCFB will provide a computer, printer and cell phone, and the Coordinator must provide adequate Internet connectivity.
- Reliable transportation to travel to locations within the four county area is required approximately 80% of the time and within our ten county service area approximately 20%.
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in nutrition, human services, non-profit, social services, and/or customer service preferred.
- The candidate must have exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- The Nutrition Coordinator must have a flexible schedule with availability to attend weekend and evening events as needed.
