The Senior Program Specialist, LCSSP supports the delivery of Save the Children’s Protection and Psychosocial Support Programs in Morongo, California. This position will provide operational and technical support for programs in Morongo Unified School District. The Specialist records beneficiary information, program expenses, and ensures program materials are supplied to the partners, monitors program progress. S/he is responsible for supporting the immediate needs assessment, partner identification, training, program implementation, ongoing technical support and management of psychosocial support programs.

- Exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters related to functional area
- Requires little supervision on routine work assignments, but may require supervision to review work progress and results on non-routine work assignments
- General regulations exist, but incumbent must interpret the regulations. The "what" and "how" are provided, but must always interpret the "how"
Lead the management of Psychosocial Support Programs (45%)
- Assist with building and maintaining relationships with schools, partners and state contacts.
- Participate in related meetings and conference calls to support the psychosocial program efforts.
- Help manage periodic program reporting.
- Manage logistics for program trainings.
- Manage, compile and input program pre- and post-surveys.
- Track and report program expenses.
- Conduct site visits and regular program fidelity checks.
- Bi-weekly coordination with psychosocial program lead to report on fidelity checks/site visits.
- Performs other duties as requested by program leadership.
Assist with Program Implementation :( 25%)
- Serve as immediate point of contact for
- Collect and record beneficiary counts and evaluations from partners on a monthly basis and/or quarterly basis.
- Input beneficiaries into Save the Children’s beneficiary tracking
- Facilitate district wide Parent Cafes twice a year.
Assist with trainings on protection and psychosocial support issues (25%)
- Participate in Save the Children protection and psychosocial support trainings.
- Facilitate the trainings for school staff and parents as and when needed.
Operational Support (5%)
- Provide operational support to the program as required to ensure the smooth running of the program to include such things as ordering supplies, equipment and organizing events.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
- You have a minimum 5-7 years' experience in community engagement, partnership building, and project management.
- Professional level of technical or managerial knowledge, skills, and experience to manage the operational activities of a unit or team, or provide the technical and management support related to various size programs, grants or projects.
