The Marketing Coordinator manages and implements tactics in approved revenue plan to support fundraising efforts in Latin America.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Marketing Coordinator manages and implements marketing projects/initiatives and manages project resources proactively.  S/he works within the framework of positioning, platform and voice of the organization’s marketing objectives to meet stakeholders’ needs.  S/he works closely with various constituents such as department staff, field offices, program consultants and vendors to manage all phases of projects.  S/he may work within budgets to minimize expenses, maximize revenue, and meet quality control standards.  S/he may use software systems to track and analyze program results, report findings, and works with senior marketing managers and development staff to implement strategic recommendations.  S/he will produce marketing collateral materials (fact sheets, one-pagers, power point presentations, infographics, proposal templates, etc.) and materials for special events and trips (itineraries, invitations, presentations, etc.) that fundraising staff can use with external audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Coordinates and collaborates with the LAR Marketing Manager to:
    • Support revenue generation by helping to develop strategy around the targeting of new and existing audiences for potential donations. 
    • Create and ensure consistency of materials for the region: the design and production of standardize range of publication and print materials, maintaining consistent visual image and writing style.
    • Work with outside vendors to manage production schedules and procedures. 
    • Exercise quality control over all documents intended for external distribution. 
    • Provide graphic design and video editing support to staff as needed to guarantee consistency in image and messaging. 
  • Acts as a resource to others to solve problems.  
  • Organizes, manages and coordinates diverse projects and activities with many variables.  
  • Does not supervise any staff but will coordinate the work of peers on departmental project teams.  May supervise volunteers, interns or temporary staff.  
  • Works within a budget to complete a project.  
  • Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.   
  • Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks and projects.  May have full opportunity to direct individual projects. 
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships.
  • Experience writing, editing and proofreading.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.
  • Fluent in English as well as Spanish. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in marketing. 
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with internal and external partners. 
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive and write creatively for various audiences from technical information.  
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.  
  • Relevant technology skills required to prepare presentations and analyze data to construct reports.  
  • Practical knowledge of marketing and branding principles.
