PSI seeks a full-time paid Washington, DC-based intern able to work 40 hours/week to support A360 within the Reproductive Health and Family Planning Department. This internship provides an opportunity to work with PSI staff on a variety of projects in international social marketing, international development, and public health, specifically supporting A360. PSI offers flexible working hours and a dynamic, creative and progressive work environment. The internship will start mid-October 2018, for a period of six months.
Areas of Responsibility:
The A360 Intern will have a variety of duties and will work on a variety of projects related to supporting A360’s activities including:
- Be the first point of contact for the A360 Core Team for administrative concerns
- Assist with correspondence with the field and partners regarding day-to-day operations
- Edit and format reports and other project or presentation documentation
- Assist with review and preparation of budgets, financial reconciliations and payments for invoices and expenses
- Work with A360 Core Team on internal and external communications
- Assist with travel arrangement including visas and expense report preparation
- Coordinate with logistics of overseas staff and sub-awardees as needed
- Facilitate regional exchanges
- Respond to internal and external requests for information
- Organize departmental events
- Assist with review of official documents for country offices and subawardees
- Fulfill other programmatic, administrative and financial functions as required

Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Has at least 1 year of work or internship experience (some international experience preferred)
- Has excellent organization and administrative skills with special attention to detail
- Demonstrates a willingness and ability to work independently and on a team in a cooperative, problem-solving capacity
- Has excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills
- Brings experience with budgeting or other substantial experience with Microsoft Excel
- Can multitask and prioritize multiple tasks based on deadlines
- Is flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Is interested in international health, particularly adolescent sexual and reproductive health
