The mission at Make-A-Wish America is to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. The Senior Manager of Data Architecture is a key contributor to the mission by serving as the lead Information Technology resource in coordinating, planning, supporting, managing and driving technology solutions surrounding enterprise data, data integrity and hygiene, data integration, and operational reporting.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for the data integrity and hygiene of enterprise data systems, including managing standard operating procedures and the processes and documentation of data standardization.
  • Conducts discovery, review, implementation, and support sessions with key business stakeholders to facilitate policy change management.
  • Researches emerging technologies and suppliers, creating tactical and strategic assessments, and influencing technology and sourcing strategies to meet organization data management and reporting needs.
  • Engages internal functional staff to identify and prioritize projects, understand business needs and requirements, identify issues and risks, suggest mitigation strategies, and recommend best solutions.
  • Supervises product support operations and initiatives for the underlying systems in support of data integrity, integration, warehousing and reporting.
  • Partners with technology team and application teams to ensure high quality of data delivery from source systems and ongoing delivery of clean data.
  • Resolves any issues and/or failures quickly.
  • Supports Analytics and Reporting users and consumers with timely bug and data resolution and prioritization and implementation of change requests.
  • Leads standardization of data management and access across the organization to maintain and improve data integrity.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops a team of Technical Specialists, who drive and implement detailed operating plans and service level agreements for internal customers.
  • Performs other job related duties, as assigned.
  • Manages procurement process for and relationships with external IT consulting engagements and technical solutions, negotiating cost to within budget and time and scope of project.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Demonstrated successful development and implementation of data management and reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated successful integration of data between disparate systems.
  • Proficiency in policy and process development, change management, project management, research and data analysis, program delivery, and business planning.
  • Excellent leadership skills that inspire and motivate others to succeed.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engage effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization.
  • Organize work, prioritize, and delegate to meet deadlines, and make timely decisions with sound judgment.

Qualifications:

  • 5 -7 years’ experience with CRM products such as Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge, or Salesforce preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ knowledge of MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, OLAP design principles, OLTP design principles
  • Proven experience in data management in support of business analytics.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a virtual and office environment.
  • Some travel required.
  • May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.
