The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Central Georgia Regional Fundraising Director to work from home and report to the Atlanta Office several times a year for meetings.Primary purpose will be to cultivate and solicit corporate sponsorships and individual donations for two annual events: Heart Walk & Go Red for Women Luncheon. Territory will cover Central GA area

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Recruitment of volunteer executive leadership committees
  • Interaction with high level decision makers & community leaders
  • Setting and meeting aggressive fund-raising goals
  • Building new client relationships
  • Securing corporate sponsorships and individual donations
  • Daily travel throughout the territory
Educational Background: 
Qualified candidates should have a college degree or equivalent experience;
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in volunteer management and/or managing community programs; demonstrated history of building and maintaining customer relationships; excellent presentation skills, including development of presentations and understanding of technology; skilled in written and oral communications and computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Frequent travel required, including some overnights.
