Organisational Change Manager

The OD Change Manager will manage a major system-wide change initiative to positively transform the organisational climate, culture, structure and size to increase 350.org’s impact. This person will report to the OD Director.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • In partnership with the Director of OD, the change consultants and internal change team, create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize staff buy-in and adoption.
  • Manage the design, development, and delivery of communications.
  • Work with the Director of OD and change consultants to conduct assessments.
  • Engage senior leaders during the change process.
  • Provide coaching to line managers and staff.
  • Integrate change management activities into the project plan.
  • Track and report issues. Assess impact and identify risk mitigation interventions.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
  • Manage change at the organizational level.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Instinctive orientation to partnership, kindness, honesty, transparency and integrity
  • Deep awareness of systems of oppression and of intersectionality, and experience with using own power to influence positive change
  • Highly skilled at listening deeply, giving constructive feedback and working through conflicts in mutually beneficial ways
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, project managing and implementing OD solutions in a complex environment
  • Successful experience in leading change processes that resulted in improved organisational culture and structure
  • Experience in making tangible advances in equity in an organisation, where previously marginalised staff experienced barriers to inclusion removed and cultural oppression addressed
  • Familiar with multiple tools for change management in a complex environment
  • Experience in creating effective communication platforms to drive change processes
  • Expertise in running effective assessment and diagnosis processes, and in successful staff consultation processes
  • Experience developing influential change proposals
  • Relevant experience in resource and project management
  • Accomplished facilitation and coaching experience
  • Excellent service and people orientation

Desired (but not required) skills and experiences

  • Monitoring and evaluation experience
  • Experience with activist / movement organisations
  • Experience working in global south contexts
