The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Marketing Specialist who will, under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Paid Media, the serve as the project manager for Association-wide marketing campaigns in support of membership, program and camp sales, as well as elevating brand awareness year-round.
- Create and maintain a master checklist of deliverables required to execute marketing campaigns, including both external media/advertising (digital and print) and Branch collateral.
- Serve as point person between creatives, the YMCA marketing and communications team, and media buyer, holding all parties accountable to strict deadlines.
- Manage the design process between designer(s) and the YMCA marketing and communications team, ensuring deliverables are finalized according to schedule.
- Work with an external translation service to translate marketing materials to several foreign languages to accommodate Branch needs/audiences.
- Deliver creative assets and coordinate meetings between the YMCA team and media buyer.
- Collect sales data during campaigns and share key findings with leadership.
- Field Branch requests for supplemental advertising and work with designer(s) to fulfill quickly.
- Ensure Branches order branch-specific collateral and send reminders as needed.
- Assist designer(s) with marketing e-blasts by requesting email lists and providing additional help as needed.
- Track Branch feedback on marketing campaigns and strategies and share with leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments on regular marketing updates for key Branch contacts.
- Maintain an organized archive of creative assets for all campaigns.
- Minimum of two years of marketing and/or advertising experience.
- Project management experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically for tracking budgets and numbers.
- Familiarity with InDesign and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide innovative solutions quickly when challenges arise.
